Possible to create report/spreadsheet by injecting data into a LibreOffice template?

Hey

I've been using the Microsoft Data Report Designer 6.0 (SP4) so far, but grow tired of its limitations:
- WYSI-NOT-WYG. Control sizes, text (font) sizes etc don't match between the designer and the generated report.
- No tables, cells, etc.
- Report size seems tied to default paper size of default printer on user's machine. i.e. a report designed for A4 will fail to generate if the user has a printer with default paper size set to A5, even if the user doesn't want to print anything.
- Other 90s problems.

Is it possible to have a VB6 app fill out data in a LibreOffice template? Then it would be saved as a LibreOffice or PDF file.

I am using both VBCCR17 and RC5. My VB6 app stores data using MariaDB and interacts with that using ADODB, if that matters.
