Can I paste Greek in a textbox ?

I 'm trying to scrape some pdf files and convert them into table data in a vb6 program.
I save the pdf in text form using adobe, then open the text file with notepad, select all-copy.
But in the vb6 textbox the Greek letters do not display. I see ????s.

My computer has the Greek language installed of course but the basic lagnuage is English.
It is not convenient to choose Greek as the basic language.
Many Greek people do this but some kind of problem arises from time to time and then you have to google it using Greek words and that is difficult.

May be the richtextbox does it.
But now when I go to "components" it says "component not correctly registered".
I went to fix sites, downloaded richtx32.ocx and re-registered in windows\SysWow64.
No result - component not correctly registered says VB6.

What to do now and in case the richtextbox does n't do what I want, how do I paste the Greek ?
If I go to other Greek pages -non pdf- and try to copy-paste the same thing happens.
But there is also this strange thing:
Before starting with this pdf job, I copy-pasted something else to add some numbers.
The text next to the numbers was ??? but I did n't bother, I just wanted to add the numbers.
Then miraculously when I did it the next day with new numbers, the Greek words appeared !
Now when I go to this page with the numbers, it's ???? again.

About my VB6 installation it's not the greatest installation ever.
I struggled with it, as I also wrote in a previous thread.
