If you need a decent database model to learn SQL which is not too complex check out the following link for a modified version of Microsoft NorthWind database. Included are several SQL SELECT statements for common operations and will be updated in the future with links to Microsoft TechNet articles on using the database with conventional data providers and Entity Framework Core.
